Lenovo Unified Workspace End-of-Life Questions and Answers

As of January 31st 2024, Lenovo Unified Workspace (formerly Stoneware WebNetwork) is no longer supported. This means that we no longer provide licenses, downloads, updates, patches, or technical assistance for this product.  If you have any questions regarding your product, we recommend checking our online knowledge base at https://helpdesk.lenovosoftware.com.  The knowledge base will be available for a short time after January 31st 2024.  

Will the shutdown of LUW servers and access to downloads affect my server licensing?
No, the shutdown of the customer servers and access to the product and licensing downloads will not affect your server licensing.  This license is downloaded and resides on your server.  If you wish you can check your license expiration date by following this KB article:  https://helpdesk.lenovosoftware.com/portal/en/kb/articles/how-do-i-determine-my-unified-workspace-license-expiration-date

How do I update my license?
If you have a newer license than what is currently installed on your server, you can follow steps in the following KB article to update the license file on your servers: https://helpdesk.lenovosoftware.com/portal/en/kb/articles/change-webnetwork-license-file-22-8-2017

How can I troubleshoot the Relay not starting after a keystore or certificate change?
First step would be to put the old keystore back in place to see if the relay is able to start.  If the relay starts, but the certificate is out of date, then something went wrong with the creation of the new keystore.  Please look at the following KB article for creating a new keystore:  https://helpdesk.lenovosoftware.com/portal/en/kb/articles/ssl-certificate-installation-part-1

How do I update the SSL Certificate used by Unified Workspace?
The first two KB articles listed below contain the steps used to update the SSL Certificate contained in a Java Keystore file for Unified Workspace.  The third article contains steps to convert a PFX Keystore into a Java Keystore for use with Unified Workspace.

For customers that already have their wildcard SSL Certificate installed on another Windows IIS web server, and would like to import that wildcard certificate into Unified Workspace.

How do I remove Unified Workspace?

What is "https://ssl.gstatic.com/accounts/chrome/users-1.0.js" used for on the LoginPolicy.jsp?  This was flagged as a security issue on a security scan.
LoginPolicy.jsp is the login page for Unified Workspace.  The javascript can be used for Google OpenID authentication and access to Google Drive via our "webStorage" and "My Files" features.

How can I remove, or edit, the Reset Password button on the Login Page?
There are 3 options available to modify the Reset Password button on the Login Page.  Please look at the following KB articles on how each result can be achieved.
