What is needed to setup the remote desktop feature?

Issue

The administrator would like to allow users to remotely connect to their workstations through Unified Workspace.

Solution

  1. Give users access to the PersonalRDP or PersonalVNC links.
  2. Next have the user login and click on Personal RDP or Personal VNC, when on the machine they want to connect to.
If RDP or VNC is detected, it will let them register that machine.

Alternatively, you can use webadmin to go to that user and add the IP address directly to the personal RDP / personal VNC section.

Now when the user clicks on the PersonalRDP or PersonalVNC link from another workstation, they will initiate a remote connection to the registered workstation.

Note: the webRDP client (Java and HTML5) does not support Microsoft's NLA authentication.  Therefore, the requirement for NLA must be disabled on the workstation the user would like to connect to.
