Running Analytics Migration Wizard

Running Analytics Migration Wizard

After applying a Service Pack, not all of the Analytics reports work.  Some show an error:

Unable to Run Report

The database that contains the information for this report is not currently available.

Please try again later.  If you continue to have an issue, please contact your administrator.

This is most likely occurring after running a UW update that contained updates to the Analytics report objects. The update will put the report objects back to using the stock database/database type/credentials.  Changing the credentials used to authenticate to the SQL server would also cause this error to occur.

The reports, therefore, need to be modified to use the correct database object / database type / credentials.

Open webAdmin.
Expand the Utilities folder.
Select the "Migrate Audit/Logging" link.

1. Choose to migrate the Audit Reports.
2. Select the context where your report objects are saved. This is usually the Stoneware OU.
3. Select the Database Connection that points to your MySQL or MSSQL database used by Analytics.
4. Enter the Database Credentials.
5. Click the "Next Step" button.
6. If you are using MSSQL, you will have to verify the Catalog and Schema where the tables reside.
7. Click the "Next Step" button.

The results should show which reports were modified.

*  If you have enabled Relay Logging then you will also want to do the following as well.  If you do not have Relay Logging enabled the section below is not necessary.

Click the "Run Wizard Again" button, so that you can adjust the Logging Reports.

1. Choose to migrate the Logging Reports.

Close the Migration Wizard.
Test the Analytics Reports.
