Stoneware webRDP – Notice of end of sales and support
April 2018
This announcement is to inform you Lenovo Software will no longer provide sales and support of its webRDP product.
As of March 30, 2018, Lenovo Software will no longer sell the webRDP software product to customers, nor will the product include any new feature updates.
Lenovo Software will discontinue support of the webRDP product as of March 30, 2019. As a result, existing webRDP customers will no longer receive security updates, bug fixes, or other support after this date. If you continue to use webRDP, after support to the product has ended, your system may become vulnerable to security risks.
Lenovo Software determines a product’s end of service date by considering a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the number of machines on which the software is installed in a given geographic location and the availability of skilled resources to support the product. Technological advances and other factors may also contribute to a product becoming out of date. When a product reaches end of life, the product and automatic software updates to the software become unavailable, as stated in this announcement.
We thank you for your support of webRDP over the years.
Note: This announcement only deals with the stand-alone webRDP product. webRDP functionality inside of Unified Workspace will still be actively developed and supported.
** Customers of Cengage, who are experiencing webRDP issues with Cengage and/or MindTap, will need to contact Cengage Support for assistance.
