When going to the webNetwork login page, using workstation configured for a specific foreign language, the user does not see the proper text.
Instead, the user sees the variables that would normally be translated into the proper supported text.
For example:
???loginpolicy.page.additional_links???
???loginpolicy.page.login???
???loginform.form.login???
This can happen when the workstation/browser is configured for the following languages:
Italian
Portuguese
Russian
Our currently supported languages are
English
French
Spanish
Japanese
German
Chinese
When any other language is encountered, webNetwork should default to English for the text translation. However, we have discovered a few invalid language files that may have made it onto the servers.
The invalid language files for those three languages need to be removed from the servers.
Currently, the supported languages are:
On each webNetwork server:
- Browse to the /stoneware/bin/i18n/ folder.
Inside of that folder you will see numerous sub folders (community, directory, swadmin, etc...). - Open each of the folders one by one.
- Delete any files from the folders that end with:
_it.properties
_pt.properties
_ru.properties - Once you have removed those files, restart the webNetwork service on the servers.
Users with workstations/browsers configured for Italian, Portuguese, or Russian will now properly see the text in English.
