Teacher cannot see student machine

If your teacher console cannot communicate with the student machine, this is usually not a LanSchool issue. This is generally caused by a network issue/restriction.

1. If you use the Peer-2-Peer model, you must ensure a few things on the network are configured to support this.
      A. That all machines are on the same subnet (192.168.1.x) or have the ability to communicate across subnets/VLANS via Multicast traffic. If this is not possible, you may want to consider the LanSchool Connection Server.

2. Ensure that if ANY anti-virus software is present on the machine, that you create an exception for the LanSchool software, usually by adding the complete install location of LanSchool to the anti-virus exceptions list.

3. If the network is VLAN'd apart, ensure that the LanSchool communication ports are open to traverse the VLANS.

4. Please check with your IT department first for anything that may be causing this to not work on the Peer-2-Peer model. It is recommended to have the IT department contact LanSchool Support for troubleshooting.
