SSLVPN TS webapps through Safari on Mac with Java 1.7 not connecting

The customer is trying to launch an SSLVPN Terminal Server webapp using Safari on their Mac. They are receiving the following error:

"Received and error connecting to 127.0.0.1"

Webapp connects fine using Firefox.

The customer is using the latest version of Java 1.7, and has TLS 1.2 enabled in the Java Preferences.

We found we have issues with our SSLVPN and Safari on OS X. We are seeing this issue with OS X 10.7.5+ and Safari 6.0.2.

For now there are two workarounds.

1. The Mac users use Firefox as their browser when they want to use any of those applications.

2. Convert all your TS VPN webapps to TS Proxy webapps.

You would have to open port 3390 in your firewalls, between user workstations and the relays. Then instead webNetwork opening up a Java Applet and creating the SSLVPN, the traffic for those applications would just be proxied through port 3390 on the webnetwork servers.

This webapp type also puts a bit less strain on the webNetwork servers and slightly improves throughput. It would also then allow users to use iPads to access the TS webapps.
