Slingshot Error: User has canceled application launch

Problem:  When a user launches a Slingshot webApp they receive a message that "User has canceled application launch".

Cause:  At some time previously, when Slingshot prompted:
"Do you want webNetwork Slingshot to receive instructions from <serverAddress>?", 
the "Remember my choice" box may have been selected and No button clicked.


To set webNetwork Slingshot to again prompt on the workstation, we have to launch the swLauncher.exe manually from the user's profile folder.

C:\Users\<specificUser>\AppData\Roaming\AppLauncher\swLauncher.exe

You will see a list of servers, with saved Access Granted options for them.

Any entries that are set to no will need to be removed from the list.
  1. Select the listing.
  2. Select Server List > Delete, from the menu.
  3. Select Server List > Save Changes, from the menu.

Close and relaunch swLauncher.exe, to verify the entries were removed.


Now when the Slingshot webApp is launched, the user should be prompted again to allow the server to send instructions to Slingshot.
