RDP Freezing

RDP Freezing

Customer report that RDP connections are freezing. Customer says that the only things that has changed are Microsoft Updates and webnetwork updates. 

Customer noticed the following in the java console: 
Exception in ToClientThread.run: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset




The Java console error message means that something told webnetwork to reset the connection. 

Customer found resolution: 
From Customer: 
We use 8e6 content filters on our network to filter web content for the district. Two weeks ago an update was applied to the filters which targeted SSL traffic . IF the content filters decide they don’t like the target site or in the case of SSL, they can’t make a determination. They issue a reset to the client. This was causing havoc for our Terminal Server VPN’s.
