New Features of webPass

With the release of Unified Workspace (formerly webNetwork) 6.4, there are some new features for webPass.



New webPass SSO deploy and update system for installing the webPass browser add-on

The webPass add-on is not detected in the browser:

webPass is not detected
Install webPass 1.2.5


The webPass add-on is detected in the browser, but is out of date:
webPass is out of date. You currently have version 1.2.4.0 installed.
Install webPass 1.2.5


The webPass add-on is detected in the browser, and is up to date:
webPass is up to date. Your browser is setup for
the best possible single sign-on experience.



New webPass SSO capability Keys to show webPass status on individual tiles

There are now three possible status indicators on the upper left corner of a webPass enabled tile:
  • Gray key - No webPass add-on is installed in the browser.
  • Yellow "broken" key - The webPass add-on is installed in the browser, but the user does not currently have credentials saved for SSO.
  • Blue key - The webPass add-on is installed in the browser, and the user has credentials saved for SSO.

These two features were also ported back to the latest 6.3.0 refresh
