Java Plugin is not working in Chrome or Firefox
UPDATE!: As of Chrome 45, NPAPI support has been completely removed. It is no longer possible to force enable it. Firefox has also removed NPAPI support as of version 52.
Here is a list of the places where we still use Java by default in webNetwork on the client side:
- SSL-VPN RDS applications - can change to HTML 5 RDP
- Java based RDS applications - can change to HTML 5 RDP
- Native Client RDS applications - can change to HTML 5 RDP
- MyFiles style of File Service - can change to webStorage* for HTML 5 based file services
- Java based launch local application - can change to SlingShot** style of webApp
- TeamPages - deprecated
- USB-key Authentication - deprecated
- SSL-VPN applications - can change to SlingShot** style of webApp along with a Generic TCP Proxy webApp
- Intelligent Application Delivery - deprecated
- Local Edit - deprecated
*The webStorage interface does not support the Local Edit feature in standard browsers. To use the Local Edit feature with webStorage, you must use our
webAgent as the browser.
**SlingShot webApps will install a small helper utility when launched (webNetwork Slingshot).
