After 6.3.0.232 we have added features to our clustering services that allow for rolling upgrades, and faster clustering startups for larger customers.
If Clustering is currently enabled you will want to use the instructions here for removing the current cluster:
Once the cluster is removed you will want to make sure you are running version 6.3.0.232 or higher, and follow these steps.
How to enable Clustering after 6.3.0.232 upgrade:
1. Start webNetwork Service on Loader 1
2. Create Cluster on Loader 1:
2.1. Login to the 8090 Management console for Loader 1
2.2. On the Services tab, right click on Cluster Services and select Properties
2.3. Select Create button
2.4. Use the Default name in the Host Field
2.5. Select No Repository for the Persistence Repository
3. Shutdown webNetwork Service on Loader 1 from 8090 console
4. Start webNetwork Service on Loader 1
5. Start webNetwork Service on Loader 2
6. Join Cluster on Loader 2:
6.1. Login to the 8090 Management console for Loader 2
6.2. On the Services tab, right click on Cluster Services and select Properties
6.4. Use the Host Address field from Loader 1 for the Cluster Address on Loader 2
6.5. Use the Default for the Host Address
6.6. Select No Repository for the Persistence Repository
7. Check to make sure Loader 2 has a Host ID that is not blank or null, most likely to be 1
8. Shutdown webNetwork service on Loader 2, then on Loader 1
9. Start webNetwork service on Loader 1
10. Once Loader 1 has fully started, Start the webNetwork service on Loader 2
