Prerequisites:

The customer uses GoGuardian to manage their ChromeBooks.

Issue:

When managed ChromeBook users log into UW via Chrome, the desktop continuously reloads, as if the user is clicking the browser's refresh button.

Solution:

It appears that Go Guardian recently released an update that is updating the Chromium browser extensions they use.  One of their extensions is causing our webPass extension detection support to refresh the browser.  This then causes an endless loop.  The desktop page loads, the extension triggers, the browser refreshes, the desktop page loads, etc...

GoGuardian extension versions that are installed on the affected ChromeBooks:

Chromium License 1.1.1.3

Chromium M 3.0.370.1

We have found other browser extensions would cause the same issue with the Chrome browser.

As of UW release 6.4.3.19, this issue should be resolved with Chrome browser extensions.
