Add ECP support for Microsoft Office 365 Federation

Problem: Customer already has webNetwork and Office 365 configured for a Federated Authentication and wants to add ECP Support.



Cause:  webNetwork support Office 365 prior to 6.3.0.199 but not the ECP which allowed programs like iOS/Android/Outlook to connect to a federated office 365 installation.

Prerequisite(s):
  • webNetwork 6.3.0.199 or higher
  • Microsoft Office 365 in a federated configuration to webNetwork
  • Powershell with office 365 plugins and admin access to office 365.

Solution(s):  Sample solution description.
  1. Upgrade to webNetwork 6.3.0.199 or higher and start back up.
  2. Verify your webNetwork configuration and Office 365 configuration using this URL
  3. Follow the instructions in the PDF for : How to turn off Single Sign-On
  4. Once federation is disabled you can modify your existing turn-on.ps1 script to match the PDF
  5. Run your turn-on.ps1 to re activate federation with the new ECP support.
  6. Try using Outlook / Android / iOS to connect to your mail using the standard wizards.
