Accessing a Consolidated (Domain-based) DFS namespace

Accessing a Consolidated (Domain-based) DFS namespace

Requires webNetwork 6.2.1.180 or higher.

Loader must be added to the Windows domain:
Add entry to hosts file on the webNetwork Loaders for the domain (usually the same DC address Directory Services is configured to use), and the NETBIOS shortname of the domain.
  Example: "192.168.1.2  my-ad-domain.com  my-ad-domain".

File System Node configuration:
Host: myaddomain.com
Path: <namespacefolder>

Set Authentication to Specified and make sure to pass the domain name as part of the username.
 Username: myaddomain\administrator
 Password: password

The way the consolidated DFS works, the webNetwork Loaders are directed to connect to the Namespace server directly.  Therefore the webNetwork Loaders must be added to the Windows domain, so that they can resolve the share servers using AD DNS.  We also need to make sure that the webNetwork Loaders can properly resolve the domain address, and the NEBIOS shortname of the domain, to the correct DC.

As of 6.5.3.13, when using the SMB v2 option, there is a DFS Enable checkbox on the File Node's Options tab that must be checked.
