Access Denied error connecting to RDS

Access Denied error connecting to RDS

Issue
Users are seeing the Access Denied error message when trying to connect to an RDS server/workstation.

Resolution
We've found that the Chrome browser is seeing various fields in webAdmin as matching those that it has credentials saved for.  It is then injecting those credentials into the fields when the admin clicks the Save button after making a change.

In the case of RDS webApps, Chrome seems to be injecting a username into the Startup URL field on the Properties tab of the webApp.  To resolve the issue, the admin will need to remove the information saved on the webApps Startup URL field, and save the change.  Preferably using a browser other than Chrome, such as Firefox.

It would also be a good idea to check the Password field on the Authentication tab.  In our experience the password, that corresponds with the username on the Startup URL, will have been saved on the Password field.  This would then cause all authentication attempts to try that password.
